Welcome from Hazel Thorpe, Parliamentary Spokesperson for Worthing West and East Arun.

Cllr Hazel Thorpe with The Royal British Legions General Election Manifesto

Time to do your bit

The Liberal Democrats have been highlighting the important issues for servicemen and women and their families for some time now.

Hazel intends campaigning not just at Remembrance time but throughout the year. We all suffer bereavement at some time in our lives . When it happens the ghost of the past creeps back into our present and triggers off sad and sometimes traumatic memories. Time it is said is a great healer but our Family of the armed forces and civilians caught up in wars need more than our current sympathy and empathy , they need respect , and support both physical and emotional for as long as they need it.

Hazel has pledged to do her bit - It’s time to do your bit too. Visit www.timetodoyourbit.org.uk and ask as many people as possible to do the same . Send a show of strength of feeling to the Government . We need our forces supported, provided and compensated for the brought back to their families as soon as diplomatically possible through a thoroughly thought out and agreed exit strategy.

In Worthing and East Arun, any local resident, business or organisation wishing for my help, support, or advice is most welcome to contact me via the contacts page.

Kind regards,

Signature

Cllr Hazel Thorpe
