Tarring Recreation Ground Fun Day
WORTHING County Local Committee has set aside £5000 for projects that will benefit young people in the borough.
The money comes from the Committee’s Community Initiative Funding, which is cash it receives from West Sussex County Council to support local groups and activities that help enrich Worthing.
Tarring County Councillor Bob Smytherman, said:
“The Committee agreed to ring-fencing this money for young people, following the two talk with us events we held for them earlier this year.
“They gave us a chance to meet and talk with young people and find out what would make Worthing a better place for them to spend time in.
“We shall be consulting further with young people in the whole borough to see how the money can be used to their overall benefit.”
